Time IQ can work with time data in both Decimal and Hours and Minutes formats in all of our interfaces.  When entering the number of hours to create a time entry, 90 minutes can be input as either 1.5 (Decimal), or 1:30 (Hours and Minutes).

By default, Time IQ will display all time after it has been entered into the system in Hours and Minutes mode.  If you would prefer to see your time in Time IQ in decimal format, you can change the Time Display format on the Settings page.

When entering time in decimal format, it will be converted and stored to the nearest minute as all time is stored and calculated using whole minutes.

Changing the display format in settings

1. Go to the Settings Page in your Time IQ account
2. Scroll down to the “Time Tracking” section on the settings page
3. Open the “Time Display” dropdown and select your preferred format: Decimal, or Hours and Minutes
